Field Surveillance Division · Night operations
THE OBSERVER
Report what changes. Work out why.
You're the night guard at the Municipal Annex: six cameras, six furnished rooms, one shift. Report what changes, clip what doesn't stay, log what you hear, and work out why the elevator keeps stopping at a floor the building doesn't have.

Six feeds, 02:48. A chime, somewhere in the building.
Case 001
The Fourth Floor
The Municipal Annex has three floors. Tonight its freight elevator, its back stairs, its printer and its visitor book disagree. Finding an anomaly and understanding it are different things.
LAYER 01
Observation
Learn six rooms while nothing is wrong. Then notice the stapler, the drawer, the chair that turned around.
LAYER 02
Investigation
Clip what flickers past, log what you hear and place it, read what's written down. Connect it in your incident record.
LAYER 03
The impossible
An elevator that stops at 4. A stair with one landing too many. A seventh camera, and someone watching it.

PERSONNEL INTAKE · NIGHT OPERATIONS
You are not responsible for explaining an anomaly.
You are responsible for determining what happened.
NOTICE: Reports from previous officers may contain inaccuracies. Trust what you can verify.
ACTIVE
Real rooms.
Reception, mailroom, records, break room, service hall, loading bay: furnished, lit, with a clock that keeps time and a fan that rattles.
Forty-seven anomalies.
Moved, missing, extra, changed, lights, intruders, the building itself, the camera. Report the right one or it stays.
Evidence, not just spotting.
Clip what flickers past, log the knock you heard and place it, read the visitor book, review the tape.
A case to solve.
Connect the evidence, form a theory, answer the final report. Three endings, and a personnel file that remembers.
The booth itself.
Mains hum, rain on the roof, a drone that thickens as the night goes wrong. Kill the lights to see past the glare.
Incident report
Name the camera. Name what's wrong.
A correct report fixes the feed. A wrong one goes on your record and locks the form for a moment. Let too many pile up and you'll be relieved before dawn.
