TUI RACER

Rally, track and street, from the driver's seat.

A turbo rally car, five cameras and a co-driver whose pace notes appear as symbols: an arrow that bends the way the corner does. Six rally stages on gravel, snow, tarmac and sand, two circuits, two city streets, and grip that changes with every stretch of road.

The co-driver

Pace notes you can see

Every corner ahead, called before you reach it, as a symbol: the arrow bends the way the road does. Six is nearly flat; one is tight; a hairpin is a hairpin. A beep glides down for a left and up for a right, lower for slower corners.

what the road does between the corners

Pace notes you can see.

The co-driver calls every corner ahead as a symbol: the arrow bends as the road does, 6 to 1 and hairpin, with crests, jumps, water, ice and 'tightens' warnings. A beep down for left, up for right.

Three ways to race.

Rally stages point to point, laps of two circuits, and laps of two cities. A six-stage championship against seven rivals.

Grip that changes.

Gravel slides, tarmac bites, snow and ice let go, sand drags. Kerbs, grass and gravel traps each feel different. The suspension leans, dives, squats and lands.

Five cameras.

Cockpit with a turning wheel, gloves, a sequential lever, shift lights and a rear-view mirror; hood; bumper; chase; far chase.

A turbo you can hear.

All synthesized: the spool and whistle, blow-off and flutter, anti-lag bangs, straight-cut gear whine, brake squeal, gravel and stones under the floor.

The same car on very different roads. Grip comes from what's under the wheels, stretch by stretch, and rain takes some of it away.
